How to Collect Video Reviews in SureCart with Presto Capture

A short video from a real customer tells shoppers more than a star rating ever will. With Presto Capture, logged-in customers can record a video right in the SureCart product review form. You can watch every video review from your SureCart Reviews screen.

Applies to: Presto Capture 1.0.0 and above.

Before You Begin

• Presto Capture active, with your licence key added.
• SureCart installed and active, with product reviews turned on.
• Your site running on HTTPS.

Note: Only logged-in customers can record a video review. Shoppers who aren’t logged in can still leave a written review.

Turn On Video Reviews

1. Go to Presto Capture > Settings.
2. Click SureCart under Integrations in the left menu.
3. Turn on the SureCart video reviews toggle. The label changes to Active.
4. Click Save.

Choose Which Products Show the Recorder

By default, the recorder shows on every product. You can turn it on for a few products only.

1. Go to Presto Capture > Settings > SureCart.
2. Click the Products dropdown. It shows All products until you pick any.
3. Select the products that should show the recorder.
4. Click Save.

Note: If no products are selected, the recorder is on for every product.

How Approval Works

A video review shows on your site only when its written review is published in SureCart. So the video waits for approval exactly like the review it belongs to. You don’t need to approve videos separately.

The Moderation section in the settings has two shortcuts:

• Manage reviews in SureCart: opens your SureCart reviews, where you approve or remove them.
• SureCart review settings: opens SureCart’s own Product Review Settings.

What Customers See

Logged-in customers see a record button in the review form on your product pages. They write their review, record a video, watch it back, and submit.

Watch Video Reviews in Your Dashboard

1. Go to SureCart > Reviews.
2. Open a review that has a video.
3. Click play to watch it.

Good to Know

• Deleting a review keeps the video. To remove the video too, delete it from Presto Capture > Recordings.
• Phones can record with the camera. Most shoppers will record on their phone, so camera works best for reviews.

Your SureCart product pages can now collect video reviews. Ask a few regular customers to record one, so new shoppers have real examples to watch.
